GUESS WHO GOT TO SEE THIS MUSICAL ON BROADWAY IN NEW YORK CITY. COME ON, GUESS.
Yeah, that would be me.
Okay, so I honestly like the people from the movie better. Whoever portrayed Christine was...uh. Not really right for the job. Her voice had too much vibrato...it sounded a lot like Carlotta's was supposed to sound like. Which is not how it goes. And whoever played Erik was, like, freakishly high-pitched at times, and then way too low at others. It was confusing.
Raoul I will not go on long about, but he reminded me of a Great Depression-era policeman.
Anyway, Erik and Christine. Erik cried a lot more here than in the movie.
HOW DID IT POSSIBLY TAKE YOU THAT LONG TO TELL IT WAS THE PHANTOM AND NOT PIANGI. THE PHANTOM IS LIKE TWICE PIANGI'S HEIGHT. GOOD GRIEF.
And Christine is also way too clingy. She hug-attacks everyone. It's weird.
It's sad that Erik and Christine didn't end up together. But at least Christine's not dead. And I hear that a sequel to the musical is in the works...?
